If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you 100% need to supplement with vitamin B-12. You don’t consume any (or very little) animal products, and you get almost no nutrients.
Being deficient in vitamin B-12 (or any vitamins for that matter) is dangerous to your health. If you are lacking in vitamin B-12 specifically, you should expect confusion and fatigue, and maybe memory loss. This is due to the fact that vitamin b-12 plays a critical role in your nerve functioning.
